Tung Ting Oolong Tea, commonly known as Tung Ting Tea, is a well-known tea in Taiwan. It is mainly produced in Lugu Town of Nantou, Taiwan. It is a semi-fermented tea made from the tea cyanine of Qingxin Oolong. The name of the tea comes from the "Tung Ting Mountain" of Lugu, where it is produced, and the tea tree "Qingxin Oolong".
The tea is golden to amber, clear and bright in colour. It has a ripe, fruity or floral scent. The taste is smooth, moist and excellent for multiple steeping. The aftertaste is full of flavor. This tea is hand-picked, then processed by the famous tea factory in Taiwan with the inherited craftsmanship. Around 60% fermented.
Steeping Guide:
- After the tea vessel is rinsed with boiling water, put an appropriate amount of tea leaves 3-5g
- Rinse with hot water 150-200ml for 2 seconds to wake up the tea, steep in the hot water for about 1 minute according to personal taste, then serve
- Excellent for multiple steeping, add additional 30 seconds for each subsequent re-steep
- Recommended water temperature: 90-95°C
